They closed my account after…. They closed my account after affordability/money laundering "problems" - they never discussed in detail. Horrible company - was with them for 20 years - and they really have no idea about customer service. Share price crated by 200% in the last 2 yrs .. I hope it goes to zero. I was contacted by Trustpilot to provide more info so that Betfair can presumably investigate. I provided a reference number which was allocated to me by the complaints email channel. I am waiting for a reply to my request for my 299 GBP API fee to be returned .. last communication from me - May 24, 2024. Yes, 2 yrs ago.

Trying to say good bye after 16 years. After using Betfair Exchange exclusively for 16 years, my account was suddenly placed under review. I fully complied with all verification requests and submitted my passport, a selfie with my passport, a utility bill, and source‑of‑funds documentation. Despite this, after 22 days my account is still under review. It has not been reactivated, and I am not allowed to withdraw my own funds to the same bank account I originally used to deposit. I would like to emphasize that Betfair Exchange does not offer bonuses and operates solely on commission, meaning there is no financial risk or loss to Betfair from my activity. I requested a clear timeline for the completion of this review and immediate access to my funds, but I received no concrete answer. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this site.

Account closed with no reason. Had account with them in Denmark and over 5 years later i move to Iceland and can login. The account is closed i think but they need to create another account or something like that for me in order to login..They make me send passport document, me holding passport and utility bill and nothing happens, i chat with them again and go through same process sending everything again and wait for days. Finally i ask them again and my account is open and i can login, when i go and make deposit my account is closed again and i chat with live support. They tell me security team has made a decision to close my account and no reason.. and they dont even need to give reason according to live support, they can do this just because they forgot to brush theyr teeth and are pissed so lets close account. This was a dirty move by betfair making me go through all this trouble...maybe they just wanted my passport to sell on dark web, maybe its a scam...very dirty bad move by betfair

Scammers or not scamers? I do not intend to complain about the lack of free bets, as this is not a charity (I am deliberately setting aside the company’s policy of (not) rewarding loyal customers while showering returning ones with promotions, as that is not the subject of my reflections). However, I rate very poorly the issue of rewards not being credited to customers’ accounts. This has happened to me several times. On multiple occasions I lost money, believing I was betting using winnings from a free bets offer. Eventually, I filed a complaint and this time I received a refund (for that one case) as well as the equivalent of the winnings from the spins. This was not the first such situation, but it was the first time I demanded fairness. There are probably thousands of such cases, and the company profits significantly from this. That is the reason for my rating.

Betfair Australia please be aware of a phishing email money fraud scam currently doing the rounds. I contacted service@betfair to report this scam and received a very unprofessional and very ordinary reply to my serious concerns. I again contacted Betfair service - or as I call them - No Service - to request Betfair bank details in order to file a Crimestoppers Report. And again sent a further email requesting details of their CEO, CFO, HR Director and HR Manager, only to be ignored and for my requests to go unanswered. This poor attitude begs the question 'why is Betfair trying to fob me off'. I recently wrote letters to Betfair Australia CEO,CFO, HR Director and Manager concerning this fraud - I am yet to receive a reply. One would expect Betfair Australia to adopt a very serious and concerned attitude to fraud. So, I live in hope!

Closed my account because I tryed putting my bank card on to my account it was a joke sent photos of my passport and lots more documents had 5 days to reopen my betfair account and told by someone that I did not need to close my paddy power account and was reopened now

Introductory offer not honoured. I joined to make use of an introductory offer. The free bets were never credited to the account and I had to go their help to find out why only to be told that no-one could do anything about it, I would've been happy with either a refund or the free bets credited. Closing my account immediately. When there's so many bookies there's no need to waste time with one who'll mess you around so much.

Avoid. Complaint ref 04684492 for if anyone from Betfair wants to actually sort the issue. I placed a bet on a football match on the exchange. It matched and settled, money in my account. I logged in the next day to find that there is no reference of it! Customer service/online chat are hopeless. Was passed (fob ed off) to a relevant team 3 times!! Every time I was disconnected, with a message saying Betfair has resolved the issue........which they haven't. This very much remains unresolved. Avoid avoid avoid. At all costs.

Amazing site, great payouts. Used this site for years, I only use the casino (slots and games) I've won plenty (including BIG wins) and have never had an issue withdrawing. 'Pay by bank'/instant payment is a great feature and has allowed me to deposit and withdraw my fund instantly. Plenty of options for games, however i'm unable to play certain games by a specific provider for an unknown reason. Customer support are great but have never been able to resolve this issue for me? Ridiculous. It really has to be something for me to leave a 1 star. Signed up, that was hassle in itself, rejected my drivers licence first time, accepted 2nd time then needed passport which also failed 1st time, finally went though and got a notification my account was fully verified, then before I could even deposit money never mind place a bet the account was suspended. Spoke to chat to delete my account and history as I found it ridiculous, I don't know anything about betting only signed up as was chatting to a friend and was going to copy a bet they had for a game.

After over a year of trying to get help from an agent and being put through to endless amounts of agents who then would ‘transfer me’ without even giving me a chance to speak and ask them not to and just ask for another way to get hold of customer agent as every time I get cut off when transferred! I finally got through to Alexander who went above and beyond to help me and instead of cutting me off asked if I wanted to wait for correspondence so could continue to help me, and even though we couldn’t sort today he’s promised me I will be helped tomorrow and have referenced everything needed for next agent to help me and just by being caring and nice and calm and not rush me has made me feel more confident in you guys are a whole again!

Same bet, no win with betNOTfair,win with bet365. Avoid. The Same 2 bets, I bet 13 quid on Man United vs Leeds and won 65 quid with bet365,lost with betNOTfair. They kept Mbueno 1 shot on target odd with safe sub on same even though he did not start the game till last 30 mins or so and suspended the cash out option pretty much all game. I placed the same bet few hours before the match, bet365 avoided the Mbueno odd and betNOTfair did not avoided and kept the bet on with the same odd and suspended the cash out even though he did not start the game. My 3 other options won and one with Mbueno did not win due to BetNOTfair 's dodgy policy.

Bank card driving license and passport. They come back with oh sorry the account has been shut down now in a business decision. It's ridiculous how betfair can do this to a fully verified account. The best way to play bet fair is to play one bet on a Saturday and one on a Monday ensuring you follow the qualifying criteria for a free bet, get the free bets use them, move on until the following Sat/Mon, repeat. Other than that the site has nothing further to offer than poor odds, poor cash out, bad AI agent customer service and slot play that’s amongst the lowest published % RPT in the industry.

This process was smooth and simple. I have been a Betfair customer for many…. I have been a Betfair customer for many years and have always used the platform without any previous issues. Recently, I experienced a situation where a number of bets were placed on my account that do not reflect my usual betting behaviour (different stake sizes and significantly higher odds). I reported this immediately and fully cooperated with the investigation, providing additional information and evidence. Despite this, I was informed that no unauthorised access was identified and my request for a refund of approximately £300 was declined. I have now escalated the case further for independent review. I remain disappointed with how the situation has been handled so far, especially as a long-term and previously loyal customer. Based on this experience, I would personally be cautious about recommending this platform to others. I hope a fair resolution can still be reached.

What a terrible service they provide, especially when it comes to registration. It’s practically impossible to create an account. They asked for proof of ID and address, including a utility bill. I sent them everything, but they either ignore me or keep asking for additional documents. I’ve been trying to create an account for a week already. Special thanks to “Vanja” and “Damian” (I doubt those are their real names), who responded like bots. They couldn’t answer any of my questions and just kept sending generic scripted replies—which is honestly pathetic in 2026. I also suspect they are aware that players from my country tend to win more often, which might be why they are preventing me from creating an account. My friend previously had an account there and was limited after winning €300–€400. Overall, I strongly do not recommend Betfair Sportsbook.

Failure to investigate complaint. I will say that the website is excellent and everything in that respect worked well for me. However, I found that all attempts - over a period of several months - to look into a simple request that would possible help the security of their customers were met with barrier after barrier. My belief remains that customers with the same name can be confused for one another. I did not suffer any financial lose with Betfair. Nonetheless I am shocked the company will not look into this and even more appalled that the barriers put up at every stage are obstructive and anti-customer service. I am still willing to help if somebody at Betfair will listen.

Difficult to use free bets. I don't gamble often so maybe I'm missing something, but I've gamble and used betting apps enough over the last 20 years that it shouldn't be a problem for me to navigate the betfair app. It's the only app I've used for the last 10 years or so. I never had any problems a few years ago, but it seems like they've made it a lot harder to comply with the terms and navigate the app to apply their free bet offers. I probably use it 4-5 times a year and recently never seem to be able to apply my free bets. It always takes my credit with no obvious way to apply any free bets. This will likely be the last time I use bet fair, I think I'll try their competitors.

Tried to get my account reopened as I had voluntary self excluded and the exclusion lapsed. Went through the chat sent id documents was passed through pillar and post. Then waited for over an hour half for someone from the safer gambling team to join the chat but nobody so I messaged to find out what's going on and someone comes online and starts asking me the same questions I answered nearly 2 hours before and were still there on the chat. Then when I said this is not on he cut me off. Avoid online chat. Difficult as they don't make email address and phone number published is 0844 which is not free on mobile plans.

Will take your money but then refuse to pay winnings. Hi. I deposited 15 pounds and placed bets yesterday with Betfair as i have done without issue for a number of years without any problems. However on winning 156 pounds on their free Beat The Drop game the issues began. I also won 125 on Beat the Drop 6 weeks ago and the money was instantly credited to my account. This time however no money. On going to the chat i was told ALL BTD winnings are subject to fraud checks and someone would contact me. My first win wasnt so that is a lie. 6 hours later i returned to live chat to ask why no money still nor any contact. I was then told I may be asked for Source of funds proof to ensure I could afford to gamble safely. What a load of garbage. Betfair seem to have taken issue with the fact I have won twice on a free game and dont want to pay. If legal checks are required then why was I allowed to deposit and bet with them and still am today? From a multi million pound profit making firm you would think a payout of 156 is chicken feed no? Really poor form this and i will never use this corrupt firm again. What is the point of playing with a firm who wont honour their own headline free game nor pay you the winnings? I imagine if you won the top prize of 5000 pounds for free they may have you arrested haha. Avoid these con artists like the plague.

So they have since blocked my account and are refusing to refund it to my account after I asked them to I even stated I was happy for them to go ahead and close the account after sending the money back and was told no. If a company allows me to make an account and deposit only after to have an issues id hate to see what they could do if I had made a larger deposit and they withhold that too id avoid this company as they clearly dont care for there players. The bank transfer is a real issue Most of the matches the goal has been scored while I struggle to transfer funds from my bank to the Betfair account Every time it happens. One day I might take the loyalty somewhere else.

It’s fake, lies and fixed. This site is so fake! I play loads of sites and give this one ago as I only play slots. Near £100 in and no return at all. Even with the return rate they state it’s a lie! I don’t expect to be rich from these sites but at least get something back. It says it’s random but we all know that’s not true. It’s an algorithm that works out how much you put in to the chance of you getting something back. Even on the free games it’s fixed. You don’t have a chance of winning but if you loose money you will get something like a free “WIN SPIN” that you get pennies for. Like £40 is my highest. Let’s just say there are way better sites out there. Also stuff like the jackpot king are fake. You don’t get any jackpots and you will be lucky to get a quid out of it. I won’t be playing on here again!

Catfished by a promotion. Sign up, make deposit, upload documents. I put 2 small bets and then the account is suspended so can’t alter existing bet. Uploaded further info the required via the app. Then hours later nothing - so contact customer services, robotic apathetic help - tell me to upload more documents via the chat which i do. Roll on another 24 hours I contact them and account is still suspended. Told to upload docs to the chat. I tell them to look back history to see i did that. Oh! have to do it again. After spending lot of time and speaking to “computer says no” I have just given up. Terrible service, poor processes. If if I was sceptical I would say it’s done on purpose just to get you to sign up
